Visible markings include a star emblem and the date “1951” on the receiver cover, “HM 68” on the receiver, and an import mark on the barrel reading “CAL. 7.62 X 39 RUSSIA”. The right side of the buttstock is impressed with Cyrillic letters “СБМН” followed by additional numbers and letters, likely a rack number or serial.
